Herbalists

Below are some links and information about some of the amazing herbalists that I have had the honour to learn from, either from attending their courses, reading their books, or having consultations with them. I hope they inspire you as much as they do me.

  • Susun S. Weed is an American herbalist who has written some great books on herbs and how to use them (see Books section). Susun also has many videos on You Tube and her website that show you how to use herbs and make her trade mark nourishing infusions (which I drink), here are some links:

  • Film about Juliette de Bairacli Levy, a herbalist who learnt her trade by travelling with nomadic gypsies. She has some wonderful books too – see Books section.

  • The Seed Sistas, Fiona Heckels and Karen Lawton, are experienced herbalists who run consultations, courses and apprenticeships in the UK. They work with native plants and bring fun and magic to the learning process. If you are ever at the Green Gathering look out for their silver caravan and go and check out their range of herbal preparations and books.
