How to make Dandelion Vinegar (April 2015)

I have been inspired to make some herbal vinegars this year after watching Susun Weed on YouTube. I have made nettle and also dandelion. It is so easy to make and once made you can use it on your salads, or add it to soup etc to help add vitamins and minerals to your diet. Dandelion improves digestion and is high in vitamin C, potassium, calcium, iron, and B vitamins. I have made this jar with dandelions from our garden lawn.

How to make Dandelion Vinegar:

Pick dandelion flowers on a dry, sunny day to make sure there is no moisture on them. Once picked put into a jam jar as soon as possible before they start to wilt. Fill the jam jar up to the top with the flowers.

Cover the flowers with Cider Vinegar (preferably organic).

Put the lid on the jar. If it is metal jar place a piece of grease proof paper over the top of the jar and then the lid as the vinegar will corrode the metal.

Label the jar.

Leave in a cool place out of the sunlight for 4-6 weeks. Strain and then use on your salads etc. Delicious! Enjoy!
